7 Years of Celebrating AANHPI Culture in the
Heart of Oklahoma City

One of the largest cultural festivals in Oklahoma City, the annual Asian Night Market Festival celebrates and promotes the cultural diversity, heritage, and economic vitality of Oklahoma City’s Asian community.

Starting in 2018 with about 15,000 attendees in its inaugural year, our festival now attracts close to 80,000 attendees for an immersive cultural experience featuring traditional and contemporary Asian cuisine, live performances, vendors, and family-friendly activities.

By providing a platform for local small businesses, cultural organizations, and performers, the event strengthens community ties, supports economic growth, and enhances public understanding of the many Asian cultures represented in the district and throughout Oklahoma.

This festival serves as a key initiative in advancing our organization’s mission to foster cultural awareness and create inclusive, community-centered events.

Asian Night Market Festival Planning Committee 2024

It takes a village of dedicated people to make this 2-day festival a success! Sign up to apply to be part of the 2026 Planning Committee— we begin March 2026.

Must be 18+ to apply.

Committee Breakdown and Expectations:

Development Committee: Helps secure sponsors & funding for the 2026 festival.

Logistics Committee: Handles permitting, contracts, licensing deadlines, event mapping, creates a day-of plan and executes it.

Vendor Committee: Creates a list of restaurants, food trucks, local retail shops, nonprofits and artists to connect and reach out to for the event. Manages vendor relationships before, during, and after the event.

Programming Committee: Reaches out to different performing organizations and groups, creates event schedule of performances for the evenings, find emcees, etc. Plans food eating contest. Writes scripts for emcees and run-of-show.

Event Engagement Committee: Plans and executes different "activation" areas around the festival to be more immersive and engaging.

Volunteer Committee: Plans and executes volunteer needs for pre & post festival as well as during. Runs Command Center.
