Asian Youth Empowerment Conference
The Asian Youth Empowerment Conference (AYEC) is a one-day, student-led experience designed to uplift and empower Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) high school students across Oklahoma. Hosted annually at Oklahoma City University, AYEC is created and led by the Asian District Youth Board—giving students the opportunity to shape a space for their peers.
Centered around the core pillars of Culture, Connection, Community and Confidence, AYEC offers interactive workshops, hands-on cultural experiences, and meaningful conversations that help students explore their identity, build community, and grow as leaders.
Through engaging sessions, a dynamic lunch expo with career professionals and community organizations, and opportunities for scholarships and recognition, AYEC equips students with the tools, relationships, and confidence to thrive—both in their future careers and within their cultural identity.
AYEC is more than a conference. It’s a movement to inspire the next generation of leaders in Oklahoma’s AANHPI community.
